Privacy Policy
This policy sets out everything this site collects, and why.
By using this site and sending a request, you agree to this policy.
The terms that apply to quote requests are in our Terms of Service.
1. Details You Give Us
1.1When you send a request, we collect what you enter in the form: your name, email address, phone number, trip details, message and newsletter choice. We also record the time you sent it.
We email these details to our team and keep them under your reference ID for up to six months after the request was last changed. This lets you look it up, change it and reuse your details.
1.2Anyone with your reference ID can view and change your request, so please keep it private.
A message sent without trip details does not receive a reference ID you can use. We keep it for up to six months so our team can follow up.
1.3On the Manage Booking page, you can also find your requests using the email address or phone number you gave us, without a reference ID.
Because anyone could type an email address or phone number into a form, we first send a 6-digit code to the email address on those requests. Entering the correct code lists the requests made with that email address.
We keep only a scrambled (hashed) copy of the code on our server, for up to 15 minutes. It is deleted once it is used, once it expires, or after too many incorrect attempts.
A phone number is used only to find which email address to send the code to. Requests are never listed by phone number alone.
2. Our Newsletter (Only If You Subscribe)
2.1You can subscribe on the home page, through the short prompt that may appear as you browse, or with the newsletter box on the quote form.
We collect your email address, and your first name if you subscribe from the quote form. We also record which page you used and when you subscribed.
2.2We use these details only to send you our newsletter, with news of routes, fares and offers.
Subscribing is your choice, and separate from sending a request. A request does not subscribe you unless you tick the newsletter box.
Every newsletter includes an unsubscribe link, and you may also email us to be removed.
2.3Our newsletter provider, Mailchimp (a service of Intuit Inc., United States), stores your subscription and sends our emails.
You join the list as soon as you subscribe, and Mailchimp sends a welcome email to confirm. There is nothing further for you to click.
Mailchimp may process your information outside your own country. Please see Mailchimp’s privacy statement for details.
2.4Your email address is saved on our server first. If Mailchimp cannot be reached, we keep it there and try again for up to six months.
Once Mailchimp has received it, we delete it from our server. We keep only a record of the page you used and the time, without your address, for 90 days.
If you unsubscribe, Mailchimp keeps a record of this so you are not added again by mistake.
3. Cookies and Browser Storage (Essential, Always On)
3.1This site uses cookies and similar browser storage, such as local and session storage, that it needs in order to work. These hold:
- your cookie consent choice
- the trip summary you build during your visit
- the reference ID, route and expiry date of the last request you sent or opened, so the contact page can offer to modify it. This holds no name, email address or phone number, and the contact page has a Forget It on This Device button to clear it.
- a pass of up to 30 minutes for your request history on the Manage Booking page. It is kept in session storage and linked to your email address, so you do not need a new code each time you reload the page.
- whether you have subscribed to or closed the newsletter prompt, so it does not keep appearing. No email address is kept.
- requests saved in your browser, only if our server cannot be reached
These stay on your device and are not sent to us.
3.2To suggest airports near you, the site looks up your approximate area from your IP address using a location service. We do not store the result.
4. Optional Details (Only If You Select Accept in the Cookie Consent Box)
4.1When you send a request, we add the following to the email our team receives:
- your approximate location (city, region and country), based on your IP address, and the IP address itself
- your browser and its version, operating system, language and time zone
- your device hardware: number of processor cores, approximate memory, screen size and pixel density, window size and touch support
- your browser’s user agent text
4.2We use these details only to help our team verify and handle your request, and to protect against misuse. They are not stored on the site, not used for advertising and not sold.
If you select Decline, none of these details are collected. The time you sent your request is always included.
5. Other Services We Use
5.1Photos, fonts and airline logos are loaded from other services, such as Unsplash, Google Fonts and airline logo providers. These services receive your IP address and browser details when your browser loads them.
Our email provider delivers your requests to us. Mailchimp receives your email address if you subscribe to our newsletter (see section 2).
6. Protecting Against Automated Traffic (Essential)
6.1To keep automated programs away from route searches and quote requests, the page asks our server for a short-lived pass just before it looks up routes, finds or changes a request, asks for a request history code, sends a message or signs you up to the newsletter.
To issue the pass, our server checks basic browser details (such as browser name and language settings), whether a person has used the page, a hidden form field, how quickly a form was completed and which website the request came from.
Your pass is kept in your browser’s session storage for up to 30 minutes.
6.2If we enable Cloudflare Turnstile, an invisible check from Cloudflare also runs at these moments. Your browser loads a script from Cloudflare, and Cloudflare receives your IP address and browser details.
You will never be asked to select pictures or type text. If a visit appears automated, the request is not processed, and we show our email address and phone number instead.
7. Changing Your Mind
7.1You can change your cookie choice at any time by selecting Cookie Settings at the bottom of any page.
To have a request or message deleted before the six months are up, email us with your reference ID. If you did not receive one, please include the name and email address you used.
